Hi, I have a few questions. My website is a custom WP site that uses Woocommerce. THe site is http://thedarkchocolatebakery.com.

1. Do you integrate with Aweber?
2. Do you integrate with Authorize.net?
3. What plugins would need to be converted to AMP, usually?

Thanks,

Jill

Hi Jill

1 - We do not. We do provide automated conversion to AMP of the Mailchimp standard plugin. You would need to do a bit of custom coding to AMPlify the AWeber form. How do you currently integrate aWeber with your site? a plugin?

2 - We do not. I am not aware of any payment system on AMP pages themselves, as AMP does not allow any form of javascript which makes traditional payment using Stripe for instance impossible as is. The AMP project is working on the new "Payment API" integration but that's not ready yet - and probably not integrated by WooCommerce either.

What we do, we AMPlify all the catagories, products, search, etc pages. We also provide a "mini-cart" that's updated live on AMP pages. Then when user clicks on "Check out", they are sent to the standard HTML checkout page that already exists on your site.

Have you checked our WooCommerce demo site? it's a standard install of current WooCommerce with no customization except for colors.
Please have a look at this page which is a variable product: no javascript on AMP pages means that interactions normally have to be custom coded and we have managed to handle automatically most of the option selection process.

3 - Those which create content where users can benefit from the speed of AMP on mobile devices. On a commerce site, you want them to browse your categories, or search, and view your product pages all AMP. Then regular articles, blogs, etc are a given.
Anything that has interaction, relies on javascript, is going to be either more difficult to convert or give degraded results. WHat I mean by that is that "automated conversion" will strip some parts for instance. So those types of content can be AMPed but they will require more efforts from you.

Best regards

Hi

We currently integrate aWeber via Woo using an authorization code given by aWeber and placed within Settings> Email tab
So you must be using the AWeber integration plugin by WooCommerce?

If the payment page goes back to the main website to process the transaction, how does this effect the Google AMP rating
Not sure I understand that. AMP pages are not used for search engines rating. In addition, even without AMP involved, nothing in the payment process, like cart or checkout page, is taken into account for rating or ranking pages by search engines. Those pages just do not have any information and any search value.

AMP does not bring any ranking value per se. It brings better conversion value by providing pages that are more efficient, simple and quick for users. Which is why one concentrates on AMPlifying pages with content, such as your category pages or of course your product pages, which are by far the most important.

Lastly, do you provide a charge service to do this for us
We do not offer customization service at the time but I can direct you to a reputable company that may help you here if you are interested and do not have your own developer.

Best regards
