Hi
Thanks for your interest!
We have an ecommerce site built on "TheGem" theme, will weeblramp work on this theme?
On AMP pages, your theme is not used at all so the question is not so much about which theme you use. Instead an AMP-specific them is used. So some customization you may have inside your theme will not be used on the AMP site for instance and may need to be carried over to the AMP version if AMP-compatible, or re-coded in an AMP-compatible way if technically possible.
Keep in mind that AMP imposes some very serious restrictions on what can and cannot be done in terms of page content. For instance, anything that relies on javascript in WooCommerce or your theme cannot be used on AMP pages.
In our implementation, weeblrAMP will render simpler but fully functional WooCommerce categories pages, product pages, search etc including a mini-cart that's updated live. Variable products options selection is also done dynamically, which is unique across AMP extensions.
Have you seen our
demo site for WooCommerce? especially the
variable product pages?
What's left from there as a first step is to customize logo, colors, fonts - through our custominz options. You can also alter layouts and which elements to display or not from our settings.
See this page of documentation for more details.
Lastly, if some things are not yet close enough to your standard site, you can
use our filters or create some
template overrides for more control.
WeeblrAMP will work with Elementor on most cases. Keep in mind that just like for WooCommerce, many elements Elementor can insert in a page (tabs, accordion) are simply not compatible with AMP and will be converted automatically or removed if they cannot be converted. So you will certainly have some customization work to do (use our AMP shortcode to have some AMP specific content for instance).
Hope this helps,
Best regards
