I am currently using WP Bakery Visual Composer of which all the AMP versions work fine except on pages, where we can find short codes visible instead of contents on it. Is there any other solution to be followed for it ?

Hi Shailendra

I cannot reproduce this, at least with our current WPBakery version which is 5.2.

Can you double-check that you have not disabled WPBakery on AMP pages?

Under Comments and plugins, in the Plugins section, WPBakery should NOT be disabled.

Best regards

Hi,

As said, checked from my end, none of the plugins are checked and currently I am using version 5.4 of WPBakery.

Please do let us know to get it resolved.

Hi

Please do let us know to get it resolved.
As I said, this works fine on our end so the problem is likely caused by something on your site, especially if things work fine on posts and other items, but pages. I have updated to latest WPBakery (5.5) and the page content is displayed normally.

Please note that some WPBakery indeed may not work with AMP, for instance forms or javascript-based element. Those are not compatible with the AMP format and cannot be translated, at least not automatically.

This will require investigation to understand what on your site is causing this. This is a pre-sale forum so we cannot provide support here. I would suggest you open a support ticket on the helpdesk (active subscription required).

When you do so, be sure to provide:

- full link to a page showing this behavior
- the exact type of content you use in the WPBakery page in question

Best regards

Thanks for your assistance, the short-code just consisted of images which are now working fine by tweaking some settings in the plugin.

Thanks to your team for building such an appreciated plugin.

Hi

by tweaking some settings in the plugin.
For future - and other people reference, can you clarify which settings you changed? and was it in WPBakery or in weeblrAMP?

Best regards

Yes, sure

Unchecked the checkbox of "Disable theme on AMP pages" from theme Management in settings of weeblrAMP, also added necessary css (display:none) for specific modules to be not displayed in AMP pages.

Following the above made it to work as desired.

Hi

Disable theme on AMP pages" from theme Management in settings of weeblrAMP
OK, this means your theme has some custom code to handle those shortcodes and indeed those codes cannot work if the theme is disabled on AMP pages.

added necessary css (display:none) for specific modules to be not displayed in AMP pages.

Note that you can also do this in probably a simpler and more efficient way, by using the "Cleanup" tab of weeblrAMP configuration:

By simply adding appropriate CSS classes to that configuration field, the content with those classes will be removed automatically. It's a bit more efficient than display:none because the content is removed with PHP, on the server. With display:none, the content is downloaded and rendered with the page, and then you hide it with CSS.

You can add CSS classes and CSS IDs. This is described on this page of the documentation.

Best regards
