Just for information, when I upgrade to PHP 8 I have a big bug on my sites. AMP does not work anymore but not only. Is it a conflict with your plugin or not? Anyway I downgraded to PHP 7.x.

In fact I couldn't log in at all or enter my Wordpress interface!
My login page was crossed.
Without logging in, I could access the normal pages but not the AMP pages.
Finally, my host sent me an email telling me the errors.

I just tested for two other sites ( https://desgeeksetdeslettres.com/jeux-medias/quest-ce-qui-fait-un-bon-jeu-video/amp/ ), and indeed your fix seems to correct the problem, everything works fine. Thank you!
